so, as many of you know
yesterday,
right after the first day of school
i got rear-ended.
again.

i was sitting still on bulldog drive
minding my own business
when i get hit
turns out it's a 5 car accident
and i've gotten the least of it
car number #3 hit car #2, which hit me
then car #5 couldn't stop in time
and hit car #4, which hit #3, which hit #2
which hit me
again.

i got out of the car and surveyed the damage:
a bent license plate holder
and a few scratches on the bumper
i called 911 to get some cops over
and all of a sudden
my toes start tingling
then i can't feel them
and i walk over to some of my friends
(thanks indiana, andrew, kim and haley for stopping)
with my hands behind my neck to keep it from moving
and i start losing feeling in my legs
and my neck starts throbbing
it's 97 degrees outside
i'm wearing a black shirt and jeans
and i've been crying ever since i couldn't feel my toes
my dad's on his way
so are my mom and my cousins
but mrs schmoyer gets to me first
she yells for an ambulance
and before i know it
i'm being pulled off of my car
they put a neck brace on me
strapped me on a board
moved me from standing to laying
and placed me on the stretcher
my dad finally shows up
right as i'm being loaded into the ambulance
i can only see what's directly in front of me
so my dad leans over the stretcher
my sister rides with me to the hospital
my parents, cousins and aunt meet me there

i was in the brace and on the board until 6:45
they had to take all my x-rays and clear me
before they could take off the brace
turns out my previously herniated disk
got irritated, so it was inflamed
and it pinched a nerve
which made me lose feeling in my legs
i left the hospital at 7:30

and that's all i'm going to say about that
